Here I am in a place where I’m surrounded by loved ones
There’s plenty of everything and I lack of nothing
Except some adventure which has always been a dream
One day I followed the light rays and out I was in broad daylight
It almost blinded my eyes but I adapted to it very soon
As I walked along the path, I looked back and what I saw was a big cave
The sky has no limit; the green meadow garden was pleasing to the eyes
The sight and smell of the flowers were everywhere
Birds sang their happy songs, bees and insects buzzed around
I sneezed and shivered as the cold breeze blew past me
I told the wind to stop blowing but it didn’t listen
So I went back to where I call my home but it suffocated me
I now long to be in the open, but a big boulder fell and blocked the cave
I tried hard to push it away but it wouldn’t move
The cave that had served as paradise now is dull for me
I miss the scent of the flowers, I miss their beautiful colors
I miss the singing of the birds; I miss the sound of the insects
I miss the cool and gentle breeze, I miss the broad daylight
There is nothing I can do but accept the fact that this is where I belong
