Cain And Abel Poem by Alfred Ramos

Cain And Abel

Two seed pods from the same mother
Now, one is testifying against his brother

One went the easy path
The other chose to follow wrath

From the same bosom they were fed
One got his fill, the other became misled

Both got the same spanking
To learn right from wrong mother was banking

One was able to persevere
The other lived to spawn fear

One grew up tall and lean
The other muscular and mean

One buried his face in a book
The other chose the way of a crook

One chose not to fail
The other would rather go to jail

One volunteered to join the Navy
The other would steal candy from a baby

One put the horse before the cart
The other broke his mother’s heart

One raced till he got to the top
The others’ crimes just would not stop

So do we know how this is going to end
There are only so many rules you can bend

I wish I could say happily ever after
But only tears follow the rope hanging from the rafter

Cain, who brought all the pain, is sentenced to die
And his heart broken mother is sentenced to cry
