Calamity Poem by T.A. Rosenbaum

Calamity

Tears ere we dream
Fears ne’er departed seem
To me, to us, an unvoiced scream
Never free, for sad sins sit upon us unredeemed
Not ours, No! Theirs, they thronged upon our souls
And harrow, forever, as bright and burning coals.
