By Lake, Under Stars, As Before Poem by T.A. Rosenbaum

By Lake, Under Stars, As Before

I remember your essence
Your face, changed, but the in-between…
…us remains a chord and a long quiescence
Something more, though by eye unseen
Perceive our sublime, true substance
Through our eyes meeting
Our hands, lips, and souls greeting
Once more, as before and again forevermore
The stars still sit sparkling upon the water
