California - Poem by Jessica Copeland
My head is spinning
My stomach rotates with every breath
My hand shakes as I reach for the pencil
What am I so restless about?
Why do I feel so lost?
I try not to let you see who I've come to be
And a part of me yearns for everything
To be the same as it once was back then
Leaving was never my plan
But if I had to, I'd do it all over again
