Call To My Dreams Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Call To My Dreams

Opening
my eyes to
an intoxicated
daydream, on the
shoulders of a fragrant
breeze; this voice gushes
round my body. Then through
the valleys of my trembling breath.
This voice, of one love bird singing; like
velvet flowing into my moods. The rhythms
walking into the window, with the bouquet
of daydreams dancing. Waltzing with and
thrilling to my next inhale. My soul's
window opens, on the borders of
scattering deserts; somewhere
near this enticing voice, that
alluringly suggests in such
elegance. And I, arise
from my restlessness
through this moment's
thoughts; to fly and seek out
and join with this most seductive
and intoxicating call to my dreams…
