Calm Poem by Zachary Jancewicz

Calm

And then, after all waves have been broken
All the storms have been lost away
and now you're safe.
So you stop
You finally stop
Stop and think,
Just to realize how pointless it was to run,
But as comforting at the same time.
So you finally drowned,
not in a powerful storm nor by mighty wave
But by your own safe choice,
Know you can finally find peace,
Of your world
So perfectly calm
Yet
Closed and unbearably vacant
That you drowned in it
to finally feel
no pain and exhaustion.
Not that you've ever wanted to feel at all.
