Calming Down Poem by Troy Clark

Calming Down

When asleep with years on your mind
And tears in your eyes
One will wake to the sounds of nothing

And like the light, it shines brightly
Proving only that the holes are still there;
Like the seasons, colors change

Green to red, red to yellow then gold
And in between you find yourself
And finally learn to breathe.
