Calmness Poem by Anonymous Still

Calmness

Calmness can be still
But it can be deadly
Just like a boat stranded in the middle of dead silent sea
No waves to stir it
Just like a painting
So dead yet seemingly alive
And you stranded on that boat
Sending the signals
Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!
And still you wish none would ever reach you
It's not you but that deadly calmness
Singing in your ears
"Stay...stay..stay...."
It keeps on asking
Your voice keeps drowning
You stop asking
You go far away from yourself
That dead calmness dissolving you
And you happily drowning
Because you fear
You might not take the noise of thE shore when you reach it
You might not survive the chaos
And thus the only thing that keeps you alive
Is you breathe..you breathe..you breathe..
