Can i really be happy
with out you at my side
can i walk down the halls
without you holding my hand
can i
ignore all the stares

i dont have you at my side
you were my very best friend
and stayed with me through
the very worst of times

can i bare to hear another speak of you
can i listen to the words as they say your name?

can i leave you in my past
because you are gone
never to return?

can i really be angry
though it wasnt your fault
you didnt choose this

can i show up
at the end of you
stand in front of the crowd
grieving an mourning
my loss of a very best friend
the only one i ever loved

can i see to live another day
or perish away an be lost with you?
