Can I Help? Poem by Singleton M. Tate

Can I Help?

We see people throughout our lives.
Less fortunate ones some full of strife.
The angry and downtrodden ones lost on their way,
But Can I Help? I ask today!

The homeless, our young folk, the babies, our old.
Lost in a world that has turned so cold.
No feeling, no compassion, we look and we stare,
But Can I help? I want to do my share!

To take up the burden of my fellowman.
Do a little bit anything that I can.
Giving of ourselves is what it's all about.
Can I Help? Yes, most certainly and without a doubt!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Taken from my 1st book: 'Tears To Triumph, The Trials Of Life'

If you can touch one life, then your living was not in vain...

Someone's Destiny will never begin until you step in and be their 'Light in Darkness.' T.G.
