Can I Love Poem by Brianna Wilshusen

Can I Love

Rating: 5.0

Never will I love,
Never will I care.
All people tell me,
There's someone for all.
But I believe not,
I do not want love,
Nor do do I need it.
Love is a weakness.
As all feelings are,
For I am no weakling.
If I was I'd be gone,
Non-existing in life.
Love is a fear,
Which no one can match.
Feelings are human,
And human I'm not.
If anything I am,
A monster is it.
I dislike what I am,
A beast in my heart.
I hurt others,
I scare them,
They fear their live,
As souls die.

A kind of forbidden read if ever there was one. Some words need changing to let it read better. But the core of this poem is the message it leaves. Not a sweet one. Hopefully, not a true one. GW62
