Can It Really Last Poem by Kovan White

Can It Really Last

Rating: 2.0

One wrong move can change your life forever
A few seconds of pleasure can become a lifetime of pain
Feeling like life's over, emotional disdain

In order to move forward you may need to take a few steps back
But starting over from the beginning can be a terrifying thing
Like the nerves of a soloist getting ready to sing

My advice to you is, truly get to now a person before you fall in love

Because as time goes on their real personality shows
And your plans for the future the gone
As quick as you can change your cloths
