Can Someone Tell Me?

Rating: 5.0

Can someone tell me?
why are we fighting?
why do we say stop killing
by killing mass every day?
i think in my head
is this okay?
soldiers die
good friends cry
someone you never knew
has grown to be apart of you
your greatest fear of losing them
to the shot of a gun
you love them deeply
they're your number one
my big brother is fighting in this war
has courage no one has ever shown
everyday i wish he would come home
hes my knight in shining armor
i pray nothing will harm him
he has'nt even been deployed yet
yet every night i scream and fret
worrying
crying
hoping nothing goes wrong
just i hope no one says
'hes stopped beating,
We've lost him completley'
my biggest fear is losing him
please god, please protect him.
dont let him leave
dont let him bleed
hes my best friend
i want to be with him until the end
his girl and i
hope
that he will not die
for our love for our only wish
that he comes home safe
our love for him
is a never ending abyss
can someone tell me
why we fight?
kill innocent people in search of the dangerous
day and night.
can someone tell me?

A great little poem and a tribute to your brothers and your own bravery in expressing the fear and questions that many a service family must be asking themselves at least. I feel for you, all you can do is have faith in your brothers destiny to come home safe and sound, your line 'kill innocent people in search of the dangerous' some up the whole mess we seem to be embroiling our generation or younger in, they say it is to protect us, but all I can see is oil, power and greed spearheading the tragedy in the middle east. The tide is turning though and soon your bro will be home. Take care, nice name, Aciiiiiiid Test otherwise known as Tai
