Can't Live With You; Can't Live Without You Poem by Ragy Sandid

Can't Live With You; Can't Live Without You

Yeah, I know it's an old tale
But old tales never fail

Some still look for Cinderella's glass slipper
Some hope they'll hide or be hipper

Some still dream of Arthur's round table
Some are apt to be stable, others able

Today's desperation
Tomorrow's inspiration

I look for you in the elements
And I seek from you clemency

I am but human hunting fairy tales
I thought of you one day a grand scale

I won't apologize because I loved
To love is human; it's inhuman to be unloved

Yes, protect the sanity walls you have
You don't deserve a crazy who thinks he has Moses' staff

You help write the words, it's you I immortalize
When they think of you, you were my sweet surprise

I don't chase you; I project you out of my mind
Maybe someone can say the words I couldn't find

There's no way I'll hurt you; love isn't that
Love is good for two; for one it isn't that bad

At least it's in me and hasn't changed yet
You take a chance on me and I'm your winning bet

But if not, you live in my words, an ideal
‘cause I don't care what people think about what I feel

To me you're real. As real as my heart chooses
And love you I will no matter what anyone supposes

I can't live with you but I can't live without you
There's a choice only for me here and I choose "I do"
