Can'T Sleep Poem by Ronald Chapman

Can'T Sleep

When I'm lonely at Midnight, I can't sleep,

I'm afraid to dream,

I hear the rain falling, thunder in the distance,
Wind blowing through trees,
A single streetlight twinkles through the window,

I think of you, Why you left me with this gift of pain?

I've always known you were nothing but a dream,
That after it ends leaves nothing behind but loneliness and pain,

I want to forget you,
But, this pain is driving me insane,

I want to forget...

This pain from living in a dream.
