Can There Be Any Pitiable Life For Such Fumbled People? Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

Can There Be Any Pitiable Life For Such Fumbled People?

The so called close relatives used to sleep lazily
without doing any useful work after eating happily
what their cherished relatives offer as delicious food

as if the poor greenery crops keep up alive, these respond
with the meagre water from the shallow pond
that cannot retain much of water for ever behind!

But, Can there be any pitiable life for such fumbled people
If they try hard looking for opportunities hither and thither
Putting sincerely the strongest and untired efforts

As the wandering eyes of the stage-play women
During display of sword fighting looking carefully
At the tips of the swords and that glisten from all the sides!
