Canal Saint-Martin Poem by Alex Bex

Canal Saint-Martin

The Canal bares its emerald scales in the pale leftovers of the day.

By the waterside the Faubourg rooftop, sharp mansard shadow against the dusk, shelters the spreading crowd,
witness of Apache nights waking.
