Canaries And Thistles
What a joy these sweet little birds
Bring to me each day
Their lovely yellow makes me smile
It will forever stay that way.
It always amazes me that these birds
Sit on sticky thistles though
Not the most comfortable place
Other places they could go.
But it makes them happy to enjoy
The sweet pink flowers there
I sit and watch them daily
They seem to know that I care.
