Candela Contention Poem by Brandon McConnell

Candela Contention

Rating: 5.0

As the spectral night begins to creep,
Over the sunlit sky,
The armies of light fall fast asleep,
The victory of dark is nigh.

Shadow slithers over the Earth,
Devouring what stands its way,
The moon rises up with a feeling of mirth,
End is the time of day.

As night begins its menacing laugh,
The sun cries out once more,
The battle splits the sky in half,
And light overcomes the war.

Only once a day occurs this clash,
Battles fought and darkness dashed.
