Candy Poem by Alfred Ramos

Candy

Rating: 5.0

I feel like a little boy in a candy store
Eyes wide open wanting more
Think of the flavors new friends come in
Doesn't matter the color of their skin
Brown ones, yellow ones and red ones too
Black or white is all right
Mix and match and hope they come out true
So I'm as happy as can be
New friends do that to me
So jump into the melting pot
Cause friends are never bought
Let's season it with kindness
Close our eyes to the blindness
And dream the world a better place
Me, I'm sitting here with a smile for you on my face
