Cannot Buy Happiness Poem by Amanda May Moore

Cannot Buy Happiness

Rating: 5.0

Content I am
Here I stand
With a pencil in hand
And the other resting on land
There are many things that I wish to understand
But here I am

I have to take things at face value
I wish to be broken
And fully awoken
To what the world has seen
What it is to be
But here I am

Here I am asking why it is so
Here I am wishing more for my soul
That is not how it should be
I should wish for things to be the way they need be
So here I am not wishing for unnecessary things

What comes into one’s life
Is a wonderful gift
Be it a curse it is still a blessing
Because there is some sort of a lesson.
So let the happiness bump into you.
Don’t go looking for it.
