Canticle Of The Earth (Pax Et Bonum) Poem by Goddo Faggotte

Canticle Of The Earth (Pax Et Bonum)

Give to me the Honesty of Stone,
- secure on which to build
- strengthening of structure,
always resilient.

Grant to me the Sameness of Water,
- quencher of Great Thirsts
- cleanser of Unspeakable Filth,
always predictable.

Endow me with the Fertility of Earth
- a nurturing bed to All Seed
- a nourishing foundation to Great Trees,
always humble beneath.

Equip me with the Purpose of Air,
- the freshness of the Morning Breeze,
- the power of an October Gale,
always onward driven.

Skill me with the Utility of Fire,
- the creativity of a Forging Furnace,
- the romance of a Soft Flame,
always burning with a Passion …

for a Life without Pretence,
the life of the brave and honest man.
