Cantonese Rain, Poem by Romella Kitchens

Cantonese Rain,

Slanting sideways on a Summer day.
The ducks make calls then head across the
road before us.
The people wait, making life seen more
civilized, more like what people dream life
should be like.
The clouds nod from above.
