They’re stately with beauty
Our State Capitol trees
Huge and amazing
Once bent with the breeze
Cut down and taken
Where they will reside
Groomed and transformed
To stand with great pride
Special adornments
Are chosen with care
Hung with deft hands
For our country to share
And then in a blink
All the lights will flash on
So brilliant it will sparkle
And terribly strong
And when it is lit
We’re anxious to see
The chosen and special
Capitol Christmas tree!
