Capricious Like A Vapor - Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Love can never be true...
Unless love is shared
The moment of love is upon us
Take my hand and share this journey with me
Or throw me back into the fire
because the moment of love is upon us
Love is a hope and a dream
and is a capricious thing
Like a vapor that can slip under doors
and between cracks in the walls
and it is volatile and powerful like gasoline
it seeks only a spark
to ignite and to create its own element
Love cannot be seen or touched
all we can see is love's shadow and footprint
Until we feel love...
we don't understand its energy or it's fragile nature
the moment of love is upon us
take my hand and promise not to let go
