Cariad, My Beloved And Friend Poem by Claire Sanders

Cariad, My Beloved And Friend

Cariad, beloved and friend, you have inspired and captured me,

My heart fell, nay danced, lightly into your minds web,

I succumbed wholly to your ocean flecked eyes,

Relinquished my defences without pretense or guise,

Those boyish, charming dimples, a cheeky impish laugh,

All things I found enticed and enthralled me so, you simply are -

My cariad, beloved and friend and I adore you so much.

Cariad, beloved and friend, I offer you my entirety, my very self,

My hidden soul, my innocence, indeed for you, my every breath,

I would give that and all the more if ere to save your life,

Unconditionally, for only you are the epitome of my light,

My hero, my pillar, my confidence and conscience,

Gain strength from me when you tire, as I am there for you,

My cariad, beloved and friend, what we share is love that's true.
