Caring Eyes Poem by Moth Harris

Caring Eyes

Rating: 5.0

You look at me with your caring eyes,
I bleed through, and to me it's no surprise.
My disguise is all, but fake.
I take your hand and lead the way,
but I'm not in love with you today.
I didn't think I would anyway.

You have to understand, I care,
I really do, but you have such despair
and you looked like you needed someone to be there.
So I took a stand and look at you with caring eyes.

Can't you see this was never meant to be.
There's no such thing as destiny,
but if you'll teach me something about my heart,
Then I'll show you where to start.
Torn apart, feeling this mortality of our time.
I'll teach you where to climb with your caring eyes.

I just want you to see, that I'm here,
My darling, my honey, my dear,
I want to end all of your fears
But my caring eyes are not how they appear.

I'm here for you, for a little while
I want to see you smile and give you peace
At least you'll see what you deserve,
but it's so much more than me, just believe.
I'm not deceiving you, just showing you where to look.
With your caring eyes.
