Carry On Laughing! Poem by Denis Martindale

Carry On Laughing!

Carry on laughing when you dust, yet not too much as if you've fussed,
But do enough and only just, so others won't be so nonplussed!

Carry on laughing now and then, with belly laughs just like some men,
As long as you've been born again and God recalls those moments when!

Carry on laughing, citizen! If you write jokes, pick up your pen!
Don't laugh at jokes beyond your ken, but at the ones ten out of ten!

Carry on laughing when you must, yes, even if you're fit to bust,
As long as in the Lord you trust, and pray on things that you've discussed!
