My love,
I'm born from life's womb
As a butterfly from her cocoon
Life taught me lessons, a bit bitter
Yet they changed me for the better
I learned to embrace life's storms
As do enamoured swans
For storms are the hammer that sculpts
Our inner self to create a masterpiece
Version of our self, wise as Socrates
Life and her lessons taught me
Who really respect and love me
And who expect to get things they love from me
They sorted the fake from the great friends
Above all your tender heart
Was my safe haven and home
You stayed with me when I was fretting alone
Showed me at the horizon the light
Carried a torch, held my hand tight
As we went through the darkness of the night
