Cars And Pigs And Oil Poem by John McCornack

Cars And Pigs And Oil

Was a timeless prairie filled with flowers
Was that perfect place for pigs to roam
Soon came a group of men to drill for oil
Started a search for a place to call home

When oil came gushing from the ground
Oklahoma suddenly became the big time
Oil and cars soon joined with all the pigs
Creating confusion that lasted a lifetime
