Cascade - Poem by Lucy Lll
Steal yourself away from me.
I'll trace this map of veins
Until I reach the very core of you.
Yet you choose to remain hidden,
lost in your imagined solitude.
Exposed I stand so small
amongst the towering canopy of trees.
Suddenly, the Heavens open with a roar.
Sending heavy raindrops from giants cascading
over the torn and tattered leaves.
Each one crashing to the floor,
A thousand thundering cannonballs,
indifferent to their destruction.
Unknowingly sending us further out to sea.
