You took your love away from me
Then gave it to the night -
My world became a darker place
But now the stars shine bright
Oh, how the stars shine bright.

And look, the Moon with brighter glow
Now captivates my eyes -
See how her face illuminates
The night-time's sombre skies

To watch the heavens glisten so
As full they hold your love
Brings joy and wonder to my heart
