Castaways Poem by Ivona Sophia

Castaways

Rating: 5.0

Unearthly alone
Wandering gloomily
Strangers to every city

Boats without names
Lifelong pariahs for which the mainland is never more
We dock at unknown ports.
Drifting under the start of streetlights
We crash into fiords of unfamiliar bodies.
The darkness brings us closer to the distance of our touch
In piers between the rise and fall of the moon.
We anchor our hearts forever
For never.
