I cast my mind back sixty years
To when I was a tot
I don't remember doubts or fears
Or if I laughed a lot
I remember playing kiss chase
With girls in junior school
I never really kept the pace
As they thought I was a fool
I look back and the photo's now
And see what they all mean
My face looked like the back of a cow
And none of those girls were keen
We passed notes underneath our desks
When lessons became boring
With words of love that I confess
Would set the girls off snoring
I guess I've not done all that bad
I'm married with two kids
And the past doesn't leave me all that sad
For the things that I once did.
