Arake, listen to me! Listen carefully
For you are the source of my demise
I have not caught a wink for days Arake
Ever since you brought me a bride
My eyes have not closed a second
My mind has not dreamt
And you know me, i love dreams.
Arake, the bride you brought me:
Please come and take her back
Tell her people their merchandise:
Is broken, faulty and needs reconstruction.
Repair that i will not cater nor assist in
For Arake, i know not, how to repair the soul
I lack a cure for stupidty and ignorance
The antidote for laziness is beyond my reach
Am confused, am at crossroads, call it dilemma
Do i cook while am married?
Even my pigs rejected her food, they dead of hunger.
Do i do my laundlry while am married?
She washed my clothes, i had to donate to lunatics
And more, do i bathe myself then bathe her too?
For Arake the bride you brought me
Smells like my grandfathers goats
Snores louder than Ogutu's maize mill
How then do you expect me to live with a catastrophe?
If Arake this is what you call a bride, i rest my case
Tell the your fellow elders the prince will look for his own bride
Tell them that he will marry who he wants, when he wants
Am expecting you soon, come for your luggage Arake
