Cats Eyes Poem by Stuart Doggett

Cats Eyes

Rating: 5.0

The shields that hide the shadows
Shine brightly in the light,
Reflecting all the questions
That come from watching eyes,
But if they could only see
What lies inside my mind,
The face I am within
Is a face that’s undesired,
Weary arms brace themselves,
The time has not yet arrived,
When their burden can be put down
And you can see what lives inside.

But I know a great write when I see one, and I also know that it was done with real feeling and that my dear friend means that the heart is still very much alive and beating.Love from Duncan
