Celebrate O Heart

Celebrate O heart give forth Thy praise
And let those joy bells ring
For your soul has found God's saving grace
And has met the King of kings
Jesus...precious Jesus Christ
The Lamb for sinner's slain
Has become your Hallelujah
All praise be to His name

When sin was known for what it is
A transgression against our God
And the unbelievers future habitation
I was glad that I understood
And faith took hold of my thinking
Directed there by the Word
I knew right well that I needed repentance
And in hearing I really heard

I took another step of faith
And brought forth to God my confession
I was a sinner lost and undone
And I sensed something was missed
The Holy Spirit brought it on home
I was enlightened through the Word
That if I would accept Jesus Christ as my Saviour
Of His Salvation I'd be assured

And High and behold while the Angel's looked on
I humbled myself in prayer
And I sensed the presence of God's Holy Spirit
As I made my confession there
And sure enough...as sure as His Word
I knew I was born again
And those praises that day have never stopped
Since that day of my new-birth Celebration!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
