Celestial Sea Poem by I write because I have to

Celestial Sea

Rating: 5.0

The tide washed out in his mind
and all that remained were glistening grains of sand.
Slick and glossy like tiny shards of crushed glass.
Tiny, individual thoughts being pulled back to the sea,
flowing purposefully through the current of his thought-stream.
Infinite like the ocean,
like the dark silent ocean above, raining down starlight on his face.

He sat alone in the ebb and flow
and retreated to the furthest corners of the universe,
where light was blanketed by pitch
and the million suns were mere effigies.
Dark thoughs welled up in his solar plexus
and in the midst of hydogen,
oxygen,
atmosphere,
and space,
each deep breath brough light.

He thought back to his time on earth
...to her.
Oceans of light -
He would drown and burn.
