Celtic - Poem by Doug Jones

a distant drum alone
in an instant I’m home
these pieces make sense
I leave this picket fence
my ears are tuned to
dry forgotten rooms
and old lost melodies
make the night complete
as it was it shall be
because this is me
rendering life’s drama
sending light as a comet
trails an evening sky
like tales greeting light
it is so simple and pure
don’t limp to be sure
