Chai, Tea (Bhaiyya, Acchi Chai Do) Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Liquor tea
Lemon-drops squeezed into with
A bit of black salt,
Milk tea
With cardamom dust, pressed ginger or tulsi patta
Flavoured
Or Dhanwantri patta flavoured.

Chai, chai,
Ek pyaali chai,
Where to find it good tea, who to make it drink?
A cup of warm light liquor tea
Made from dried green leaf
With little sugar.

But I find it not the earthen bowl boiled
Milk, sugar and water mixed tea
Offered in earthen cups
With cream over it,
The burnt earthen taste is excellent
With somewhat condensed dried milk quality
Making a greater taste.
