Chains Of Shame Poem by Rayona Dawson Spencer

Chains Of Shame

Asia's looks at the glances of
sunlight through the floorboards
on a ship that transport slaves an
asked god 'when will it be the
day, the day that when this goes
away, when I don't have to
listen to what my 'master' say,
The next day the pregnant lady
beside her died diease and she
asked 'why lord, why me? '
