Chair She Built Poem by Thomas Yarbrough

Chair She Built

Rating: 0.5

Amnesia warms-over
elephants sitting in a circus of chairs.

The music is stopped
& she is not here
no matter how many times I blink.

There, pirouetting
in the company of elephants
refusing to sit.

Wherever she goes,
carrying the chair she built.
