Chalice Of Death Poem by John DeBona

Chalice Of Death

Rating: 5.0

Drink from the chalice of death.
Swallow its bittersweet poison.
Struggle for your breath.
Die in a lonely prison.
Pull the barbs out of your flesh.
The voices inside condemn.
Memories all burnt to ash.
Your life is all pretend.
Screams of pain and agony.
A schizophrenic mind.
Bloody thoughts in poetry.
The inner walls are lined.
The angels you seek don’t appear
You’ve live for meaningless gain.
Drowning fast in sorrow and fear.
Your life has been in vain.
