Chameleon Days Poem by Martins Akhoeneto

Chameleon Days

Mannerly bright and free from graven dirt,
You lied, yes! you lied
Because she's brimful of hidden flaws,
Behind her old deceptive face of grey,
Beneath her chameleon days.
