Change Avoids Wasted Poem by Charles Todd

Change Avoids Wasted

"Is this all there is to
look forward to in life? "

At first, only a little question allowed in
Over time, tho', that innocent little thought
Starts nagging, making you really doubt
What you're doing with your life.

As more uncommon light
Is let in, doubt spreads
Like disease contaminating
All other thoughts and making
You question everything.

One moment, life passible
Then you're desperately
Trying to shake off this
Scary, scary thought:

"What if my whole life has
been and now is a waste? "

Now sure about
What you're doing, or
Choices made, or where
Life is heading is not wanted.

It doesn't have to be wasted
No matter how much time left
A change in direction can be made
So life going forward will not be wasted.
