Go To Short Term Parking Poem by Charles Todd

Go To Short Term Parking

Rating: 5.0

Today I was told not to park in Long Term Parking.
To go to Short Term Parking.
Not Daily Parking, that's later.
Just Short Term Parking.

Is it my car?
Smog tested and still getting good mileage.
Hiccups occur, but we still get to and back.

But, I want to go on a long trip.
Well, you can't park in Long Term Parking.
Don't be afraid of Short Term Parking
But it costs more. Sorry,
That's the price for pushing the cutoff date back.

Sir, will you please move your car.
You're blocking others from parking long term.

Thank you.

Interesting poem! It can be interpreted on several levels. One who can write a poem like this can't really be that old! Daily parking must be for someone truly older than you. Pushing the cut off date back might mean staying young at heart trying to get into long term parking. Short term parking might actually be really be appropriate for someone reaching the golden age of enlightenment. So don't fret!
