Changing The World Poem by Christian Brown

Changing The World

Rating: 5.0

If you had a shot at changing the world would you take it?
Or would expect someone else to come with something and make it
Maybe my poetry doesn't work so what if it doesn't win
If I have shot at changing the world...here it begins
I want to improve this world no killing less hatred
I don't want to ruin what my god created
I wouldn't even care if I was part of the scene
As long as I tried...I shouldn't be the only one with this dream
A fascination to see the good and great
I see it locally on tv change is my fate
Will it take a full blown revolution
Or just an eye opener a sudden realization
That the way things are now aren't the way they should be
We should be able to love live fearless glad...and equally
And not ignore the things that people do for us...
But embrace it show our soft side instead of acting tough
Shoes cloths games houses aren't what make you, you
Money gadgets toys hats hair don't make you cool
Your heart your attitude love care
What your willing to give what your willing to share
Changing the world can be as simple as telling someone it's okay
Or getting to know a stranger saying hi or have a nice day
If these can change the world so can unjust actions
Brings the world closer to complete destruction
It's hard to change the world doing something worthy
It's easy though to change the world doing something dirty
Watch what you say and watch what you do
You never what you could've messed up you never know who
We have the troubled decision between what is difficult or effortless
Make somebody's day better don't be so careless
The easiest thing you will ever do...is lose
Push somebody around, or make fun of a whole group
There are some people out there that get payed 15 cents to make your shoes
And we ignore and buy from the company because the problems so far away
But the problems real its here! And it's headed our way
We ignore what we wear and blind by how much they got paid
And we glorify products...that a 12 year old slave made...
