Changing Wardrobes
When Summer begins
Its march through Delhi,
Mother Nature takes
Her Cue,
And her wardrobe changes too.
Her bright red Semal flowers
Make way for small, delicate flowers
Pink, white, and blue.
When the Summer Sun begins
To burn and smoulder in Delhi,
Mother Nature too takes
Her Cue,
And her wardrobe changes too.
Her red, passionate, Gulmohur flowers
Take the place of small, delicate flowers
Pink, white, and blue.
So when things begin
to change in our lives,
We too, like Mother Nature, must take
Our cue,
And change our wardrobe too.
Our anger, ego, rage, bad moods
Must step aside and make way for good moods,
For love, harmony, humility, and patience too...
Fascinating portrayal of change of season in and around Delhi along with the changes of nature through blooming of countless beautiful seasonal flowers. This poem goes into the list of my favourite poems. Thank you very much, Jasbir ji, for sharing the same.
