Chapters. Poem by Emily E. Green

Chapters.

Rating: 5.0

Maybe I'm a buss window seeing all your sites
Or a melody playing in your room all night
Maybe I'm your spring
Beginning to bloom
Another chapter starts again
And the feeling never seems to end

Your warm toasty brown eyes
Don't seem to burn mine
My handkerchief hates to wave goodbye
Maybe I'm the first leaf
Growing green on your tree
I'd hate to break your heart
I hope you're safe with mine
I'm turning the page for the next line
The chapter tells us how it is
How you make my heart fizz
Like strawberry lemonade bubbling in the sun
It's like those novels about the young
Something fresh
Something new
Makes me feel wonderful too

The chapter begins to turn
The reader grips in concern
Maybe my leafs turning brown like your eyes
I never believed your lips could lie
Reminiscing to how simple things used to be
When I felt safe in your arms
Maybe I was distracted by your charm
But the feeling never seems to end
Another chapter starts again
My hands and neck are cosy
The sky looks lonely
Our paths stumble into each other
Once again my heart starts to flutter
Maybe this was all a faze
My sun begins to raise
The chapter starts again
And the feeling never ends
